Kasbah Tiziri (Fortress of Moonlight)

Situated on the edge of the Dades Valley and overlooking the Saghro Summit of the Anti- Atlas Mountains. This Kasbah or fortress dwelling of past tribal chiefs was pass down through many generations till it was purchased in 2015 by the Canadian /Moroccan partnership of Moroccan Footsteps.

It has been lovingly restored over the past 4 years with great attention to details of local time honoured architecture and artistry.

Handmade earth brick construction allows for comfortable inside temperatures year round and the meter thick walls provide a unique insight into construction methods that have withstood the tests of time.

Please allow us to provide a wonderful glimpse of Berber hospitality and cuisine in the unique setting of an ancient Kasbah.
